i'm new to photoshop. i am simply blown away by the results i have achieved already after following just a few tutorials. being able to lift something out of a photo and place it into another -- without even a hint that the picture was modified -- is one feature i use most often (so far). and the web features are very useful and time-saving, too. i'm anxious to learn more about color correction and other advanced features. seems that the sky is the limit when it comes to what can be accomplished. this software may have a steep learning curve for the novice (like me), but the time investment is worth it if your motivation is to improve the quality of your images. this most powerful software has SO MANY options that I was completely overwhelmed at first. but i searched online for tips and tutorials, and quickly dug in. with patience and persistence, i am now consistently achieving good RESULTS.Customer Review: The industry standard gets better

What a great product. When it comes to image editing, if you can imagine it, with Photoshop, you can do it. If you are new to graphics/design I recommend that this be the first software you start to master. (if you aren't new, then you already know this) Not only is it powerful, its a great deal of fun to use.Adobe has updated the interface. Now when you select a tool all of the options for the selected tool appear (you don't have to go to the pallettes as often). The selection tools and text handling are much better than previous versions. There are several other improvements that I haven't mentioned.
Using Photoshop is an art in itself. I've been using this product for several years now and I'm still learning.
Customer Review: Great Application ? Could Have Stood a Bit More Testing

PhotoShop is without a doubt the best digital image editing software on the market. However, Adobe seems to have placed testing of the application on the users who fork over the big bucks and stake their livelihood on its use. If you check the User to User Forum on Adobe's WebSite, you will see the large number of problems people are experiencing with this product. Foremost is speed. Take the minimum system requirements on the box and times those by 4 if you expect it to run efficiently. Also there are many features that either do not work correctly or were just not thought out well when designed. If you are a graphics professional, you will find some of the new features and design a work flow killer. The guides and slice tool are not precise, the text tool is half thought out and there are many features hidden away in right mouse click menus such as text attributes like bold and italic and layer options (you can't rename layers without going to a menu anymore). There is a complete lack of consistency between PhotoShop, ImageReady and Illustrator, which makes no sense at all. I am finding myself switching back and forth between 5.5 and 6. Hopefully, with all of the complaints, Adobe is finding out what real world users need in an application (not what programmers and product people think we need) and are working on a patch.Customer Review: The Best Graphics Editing Program Available

I create websites, do webgraphics and love to draw and color my pictures and amazingly, this expensive little program dilivers it all. It has some of the best options and is easy to learn after you get the experienced needed. To add to the effect of this program you may add plugins which will add kool effects such as sun flares or lighting. (recommendations:eye candy, xenofex, Kai's Powertools). Download a demo of Adobe 5.5 at www.adobe.com and you will see how much it delivers. Now think about how much the newest version of Photoshop will deliver. Boggles the mind huh? Buy this if you are really serious about any type of grahpics business, or leisure activity.Customer Review: I love this thing

I am a high school student and work with Adobe Photoshop in my literary magazine class. It is truly amazing. I wish I could afford my own copy. For now I have to stay after school if I want to enjoy all the great things you can do with PS. I have Paint Shop Pro 6 at home - which is not as great as PS but cost much less.
