I wish the manual had more detail, so that I could figure out how to utilize the cool features without having to take a special class or purchase and read another book. Right now I'm able to use it for some features, but I rarely open the program because a couple of free programs I found online can do the main image editing that I need. Great for those who are more experienced and do more with their photography. Save your money if you're not (and just plan on using your photos for the typical uses like showing them to friends/relatives) or take the class/get more instruction. I plan on learning more though since I spent all that money on it and would like to make the most of it's features.Customer Review: Crashed and burned

Read a book on PhotoShop 6, and many of the functions are the same in Elements 5.0. I am a beginner, so I don't need the latest bells/whistles. Made some very nice edits already, like taking a shot of a new Dad in the family with his day old child, and putting Dad's face on the baby. Got a lot of laughs. Also took a before picture of our bathroom, and photo tiled it with the new tile layout. Very helpful in selecting the layout pattern, etc.Customer Review: Adobe Elements 5

Elements 5 is an amazing program. If I had only one program for photos, graphics, and designing, this would be the one. It even exports to PDF for publishers wanting to design fantastic book covers. I'm an avid scrapper, I'll admit, especially after my daughter was born. I'm new to editing pictures but I'm pretty computer savy. To me this software is easy to understand. I will admit there were times I would get stuck, mainly because the version I bought did not come with a manuel. I don't know the proper photography terms so looking up in the help menu didn't always work for me. So I bought Photoshop Elements for Dummies and that helped A LOT! Now I love this software. It's so much fun. It does everything that a scrapper (great for family photos) would want it to. From erasing the background to creating brushes. It's endless in what you can do with this software. For people that don't do photography, editing, etc, you will not be disappointed in this software.
