Software Reviews of Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0 Premiere Elements 3.0 Bundle [OLDER VERSION]

Customer Review: Out Dated Do NOT Buy!
Summary: 1 Stars

First of all I want to say that I am a huge Adobe fan. In fact I recently bought their latest creative suite, Web Premium CS4 and love it.

However if you are looking to buy a lesser expensive video and photo editing bundle than you are better off looking into the latest release of this product. I would even go so far as to say you might want to look at some other software depending on what you are wanting to do with it.

Another consideration is what kind of computer will you be running this software on. Pay close attention to the system requirements, that goes for any software, but especially Adobe because they are known to use the latest technology to get the most out of their products, which is good for the end user but bad if you are not up-to-date on all the latest technology.

When I first bought this I ended up having to replace my motherboard and cpu, which I didn't really mind too much because I wanted to be more up-to-date with my hardware anyway. Although when I contacted customer support to find out why it wouldn't load on my computer they did offer to refund the product even though it had been opened. Which a lot of software providers won't do.

Bottom line, do not buy this version because it is just too old and you can get the newer version for about the same. If you want a fairly good video and photo editor than the latest version of this package is a good choice, so long as your computer system is able to run it. The good thing about Adobe is their extensive help system. If you do buy the new version then make sure you register it and get an Adobe ID. It's free and allows you to get into all the help sites you can ever want. Adobe TV is part of their website and is a good place to start. In fact If you are thinking of buying any product from Adobe I would go there and search for a video related to what you want. That way you can see what it can do and you can get a feel for what it's like.

Or you can go to their web page and download a trial version of a product for 30 days. Then you will know right then and there if and how well it will work on your computer. You can even call their support for help on downloading the software for your trial period.

I suppose the best thing about Adobe is they do keep improving their software and once you buy into it you can upgrade at a reasonable cost or even use something like this small two piece bundle and get credit for upgrading to one of their more professional suites.

Customer Review: Good Software
Summary: 5 Stars

Good alternative to Adobe's more costly product, easy to use by most people, and powerful enough to make videos and edit pictures. Somewhat slow even on fast computer, but what adobe product isnt? Would recommend, very useful software.

Customer Review: Good
Summary: 4 Stars

These programs do everything I need/want them to do. Now if only they wouldn't freeze up randomly. That's annoying.

Customer Review: needs tutorials
Summary: 2 Stars

Needs basic tutorials on things like "Layers". Should show basic examples via video to show how to do things beyond red eye , sizing, and cropping. Where's the BEEF tutorial? I'm not upgrading until they come out with a good in house tutorial.
