Software Reviews of Adobe Premiere ElementsCustomer Review: Buyer/User Beware Summary: 1 StarsLast June I bought a bundle package of Photoshop Elements 3.0 and Premier Elements 1.0 at Fry;s Electronics after reading a very good review from PC Magazine. I installed Photshop right away and have not encountered any problem. However, when I tried to install Premier Elements 1.0 yesterday I kept getting the massage " User name or serial number are not recognized ...." I called Adobe today and was told that since Adobe has just released Premier Elements 2.0 I will no longer have Adobe's complementary support, and the agent asked me to either buy the new version or pay $39.95 for tech support. This is not right. I cannot even installed my 10 months old Premier Elements 1.0 for the first time and Adobe has a nerve to ask me to buy a new upgrade version or pay for support. So this is my last Adobe software. And also there is a warning to all people that don't buy old Adobe software because if you need support you will be out of luck. Furthermore, if you buy a current version software you must install in your computer right away and try it out as much as you could. Adobe's complementary support will be expired as soon as Adobe releases a new version.

Customer Review: Love, Hate Relationship with this software Summary: 3 StarsLove - - I have successfuly created and recorded over 40 12-15 minute videos, a couple of 1/2 hour videos, and an hour long documentary over the past year.
Hate - - constant crashes, constant troubleshooting
Love - - Adobe Help: Troubleshooting that I can find
Hate - - Adobe does not have words from their error messages in their search engine. Telephone support will tell you to search the Adobe website.
I wish for a better program, but have not found one on the market. From the reviews, I don't trust Adobe Premiere Elements 2.0 to be any better.
Customer Review: Adobe was fun and easy Summary: 5 StarsI expected a much larger learning curve than there was. Adobe Premier Elements is fun and easy to use. I think it is very self explanitory and the video tutorials are helpful to get started. When I first started to use this software, it seemed a bit unstable. I found that I was expecting it to handle too much at once. Best advise...SAVE, SAVE, SAVE!! Especially if you just made something really cool. You don't want it to freeze up before you have saved it! I should mention that this is the first time I have ever done film editing, and I have so much creativity open to me with this software. If you have a fast enough machine, you should have no problem.
Customer Review: Doesn't work for DVD camcorders Summary: 1 StarsI would give this software 0 stars if available. I bought this software about 6 weeks ago to edit my mini DVD camcorder footage only to find out after fiddling with it for 3 hours that it is outdated and cannot edit footage recorded by any DVD camcorder. Nowhere on the box or in the reviews of this software does it say that. This is obviously a major shortcoming as DVD camcorders are now quite comman and such a lack of compatability should be prominently advertised. Very dissappointing and dishonest on the part of Adobe. Will avoid all their products in the future.
Customer Review: Do not buy - this an old version. Summary: 1 StarsIt is not labeled as such - but this is the old version of Adobe Premiere (v. 1.0). Instead one should buy the Adobe Premiere v. 2.0 which is more current and is also listed at Amazon.
